Window Safari, New York

The windows in our surroundings all have different amounts of openness. To the right the windows are arranged from open to closed from upper left to lower right. 

Windows that have been sealed again, curtains and shop signs was a typical element, both in Aarhus and in New York, but in New York there were far more windows sealed with iron bars and alike. 

In New York i also shot more peculiar specimens – a space for rent covered with some kind of soap, a whole façade where every window had been sealed shut and houses being build.

The trophy window is quite interesting, as the only thing added to the opening is glass and foam, but it still makes it very clear, that it is closed for interested eyes, not open. This simple, almost dumb, way of covering the window fascinated me.
